1. Introduction
At AmberMeadow, we are committed to providing high-quality professional makeup services. We understand that circumstances may arise that require cancellation or modification of your booking. This Refund Policy outlines the terms and conditions regarding deposits, payments, cancellations, and refunds for our services.
By booking services with AmberMeadow, you agree to the terms of this Refund Policy.
2. Deposits
2.1 Purpose of Deposits
Deposits are required to secure your booking date and time. They confirm your commitment to the appointment and allow us to reserve our artists' time exclusively for you, declining other potential bookings for that time slot.
2.2 Deposit Amount
For most services, a 50% non-refundable deposit of the total service cost is required at the time of booking. For bridal services, specific deposit requirements will be outlined in your bridal contract.
2.3 Deposit Payment Methods
Deposits can be paid via:
- Credit/debit card payment
- Bank transfer
2.4 Booking Confirmation
Your booking is not confirmed until both of the following conditions are met:
- The deposit payment has been received and processed
- You have received a written booking confirmation from AmberMeadow
3. Cancellations and Refunds
3.1 Client Cancellations
Our cancellation and refund policy for client-initiated cancellations is as follows:
Standard Services (Non-Bridal)
- Cancellations more than 48 hours before the scheduled service: The deposit is non-refundable. However, it may be applied to a future booking within 3 months of the original date, subject to artist availability.
- Cancellations less than 48 hours before the scheduled service: The deposit is non-refundable and cannot be applied to future bookings.
- No-shows: If you fail to attend your appointment without prior notice, the full service fee is due and no refund will be provided for any payments made.
Bridal Services
- Cancellations more than 90 days before the wedding date: 50% of your deposit may be refunded.
- Cancellations 30-90 days before the wedding date: The deposit is non-refundable but may be applied to other services within 6 months.
- Cancellations less than 30 days before the wedding date: The full payment is required, and no refund will be issued.
3.2 Rescheduling
If you need to reschedule your appointment:
- Rescheduling requests more than 7 days before the scheduled service: One free reschedule is permitted, subject to artist availability.
- Rescheduling requests less than 7 days before the scheduled service: A rescheduling fee of 25% of the service cost may apply.
- For bridal services, rescheduling requests less than 30 days before the wedding date: Subject to availability and may incur additional fees.
Please note that we cannot guarantee availability for rescheduled appointments, especially during peak seasons (April-September, December).
3.3 Service Provider Cancellations
In the rare event that AmberMeadow must cancel your appointment due to illness, emergency, or other unavoidable circumstances:
- We will make every effort to provide as much advance notice as possible.
- We will attempt to find another qualified artist from our team to perform your service.
- If we cannot provide the service as booked, you will receive a full refund of any payments made, including the deposit.
- For bridal services, our contract includes additional compensation terms for provider cancellations.
4. Service Satisfaction
4.1 During Your Appointment
If you are not satisfied with any aspect of your makeup application during your appointment, please immediately inform your artist so that adjustments can be made to address your concerns.
4.2 After Your Appointment
Once you have left after your makeup service has been completed and you have expressed satisfaction, we cannot offer refunds based on changed preferences or style decisions.
4.3 Legitimate Quality Issues
If you experience a legitimate quality issue with your makeup service (such as an allergic reaction to products used, despite informing us of known allergies, or significant deviation from agreed-upon look):
- Contact us within 24 hours of your service.
- Provide clear details and, if possible, photographs of the issue.
- We will review your concerns promptly and may offer one of the following remedies:
- Complimentary corrective service
- Partial refund
- Credit toward future services
Each situation will be assessed individually, and resolution will be at the discretion of AmberMeadow management.
5. Gift Certificates and Prepaid Services
5.1 Gift Certificates
Gift certificates and prepaid service packages are subject to the following terms:
- Valid for 12 months from the date of purchase unless otherwise specified.
- Non-refundable but may be transferred to another person.
- Cannot be redeemed for cash or exchanged for other services not included in the original purchase.
- Lost or stolen gift certificates cannot be replaced without proof of purchase.
5.2 Prepaid Service Packages
For clients who purchase multiple services in advance as a package:
- Packages must be used within the specified timeframe (typically 6-12 months).
- No refunds for unused services after the package expiration date.
- Partial refunds for unused services may be considered on a case-by-case basis if requested before the expiration date, subject to a 25% administration fee.
6. Product Purchases
For makeup products purchased from AmberMeadow:
- Unopened, unused products in original packaging may be returned within 14 days of purchase with receipt for a full refund.
- We cannot accept returns on opened or used products for hygiene reasons.
- If a product is defective, please contact us within 7 days of purchase for replacement or refund.
7. Special Circumstances
We understand that exceptional circumstances beyond your control may arise. In cases of serious illness, bereavement, or other emergencies that prevent you from keeping your appointment, please contact us as soon as possible. With appropriate documentation, we may offer more flexible rescheduling options or special consideration regarding our refund policy.
Each situation will be reviewed individually, and any exceptions to our standard policy are at the sole discretion of AmberMeadow management.
8. Methods of Refund
When a refund is approved, it will be processed using the same method of payment used for the original transaction, unless otherwise agreed:
- Credit/debit card payments will be refunded to the same card.
- Bank transfers will be refunded to the originating account.
- Refunds typically process within 5-10 business days, depending on your financial institution.
9. Changes to This Policy
We reserve the right to modify this Refund Policy at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting to our website. It is your responsibility to review this policy periodically. Your continued use of our services after any modifications indicates your acceptance of the updated Refund Policy.
